USPA NEWS - Upon entering the museum, visitors are first greeted with a dense collection of minerals and rocks from around the world. They come in all shapes and sizes and some are even extraterrestrial rocks.

Upon entering the museum, visitors are first greeted with a dense collection of minerals and rocks from around the world. They come in all shapes and sizes and some are even extraterrestrial rocks. Moon rocks, meteorites, comets, some might even think it´s all a tad bit alien.

Of course, no natural history museum is complete without skeletons of dinosaurs and stuffed dodos this museum is no different. There is even a special installation of a life-sized dinosaur that moves and roars like the real thing! A prime attraction for younger children.

Upstairs, there are preserved specimens of marine creatures, animals, insects, and birds. The museum puts a great emphasis on environmental protection by informing visitors on which species are endangered and how to protect them.

The museum is open every day except Tuesday from 9 in the morning to 6:30 in the evening with extended opening hours until 9pm on Wednesdays. The last entry to the museum is half an hour before it closes so don´t go too late! General admission is free for students under 19 years old and €10 for adults. Additional charges may apply to other activities such as the digital planetarium.
