The Albertina is one of the museums that are most worth visiting in the German-speaking world. With a varied collection of modern and classical art, it's a good place to visit even for those that aren't too inclined to look at art museums.

Starting from the basement level, famous modern artists such as Warhol, Richter, and Liechtenstein have their works exhibited here. With a smaller subdivided space for each individual modern artist here, it's a good place to start if unsure about what styles one finds most appealing.
Just before one enters the first floor a fantastic exhibition of stills from black and white films is shown in three galleries. Most film enthusiasts would easily recognize scenes from most of the stills contacting works of Fritz Lang, A Streetcar Named Desire, King Kong among other favorite classics.

Upstairs in the impressionism and pointillism exhibition visitors are taken though a journey of art. Through detailed explanations on the works of Signac, Monet, and van Gogh. After taking a break in one of the vast staterooms of the museum building, the exhibition continues upstairs. Munch and Gauguin can be found here among other artists of the 20th century.
